About The Job:
- Join the Engineering Platform team to develop and support an in-house engineering platform built using technology concepts inspired by modern developer platforms.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, automation frameworks, and platform capabilities.
- Develop high-quality Python applications and integrations that support enterprise engineering processes.
- Work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to improve developer experience and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, and platform reliability initiatives.
- Ensure platform solutions meet enterprise standards for scalability, security, quality, and performance.
- Drive innovation through automation, standardization, and engineering best practices.
Essential Job Functions:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and platform services using Python.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to integrate with internal and external enterprise systems.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and Terraform Cloud.
- Create, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Harness, or similar tools.
- Implement automated testing strategies and ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support release management activities, deployment automation, and production platform stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable platform solutions.
Qualifications:
Skill Requirement
- Strong hands-on experience in Python application development and backend engineering.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and advanced SQL query development.
- Hands-on expertise with Terraform and preferably Terraform Cloud for infrastructure automation.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Harness, or equivalent DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks, code quality practices, and enterprise release processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.
Additional Request
- Experience working with platform engineering, developer productivity platforms, or internal engineering tools is desirable.
- Understanding of DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, cloud engineering, and automation best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and collaborative software engineering practices.
- Ability to work effectively within a global offshore delivery environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and adoption of emerging engineering technologies.
- Passion for building reliable, secure, and scalable enterprise platform solutions that enhance engineering productivity.
