Role summary
Leads technical execution for assigned workstreams while contributing directly to design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and release activities. The role coordinates engineers and testers, resolves complex delivery issues, and raises the quality and consistency of engineering practices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead or coordinate technical workstreams, releases, defect resolution, and production stabilization activities.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot applications and services as needed.
- Translate business and product requirements into maintainable technical solutions and testable acceptance criteria.
- Review code, test cases, designs, pull requests, implementation plans, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate developers, testers, architects, product owners, operations teams, and external system owners.
- Coach team members and promote reusable engineering, quality, automation, and development practices.
- Identify technical debt, recurring incidents, delivery risks, and opportunities for platform improvement.
Core capabilities
- Strong hands-on software engineering and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to independently handle complex assignments and make implementation decisions within established architecture.
- Experience with Agile delivery, technical estimation, sprint planning, releases, and production support.
- Experience across web applications, APIs, integrations, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Ability to review and improve the work of other engineers and testers

Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant hands-on software engineering experience is sufficient when the candidate can demonstrate technical leadership through work coordination, code/design reviews, mentoring, or ownership of complex delivery. Formal people-management experience is not required.
- College degree, diploma, or equivalent post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute technically while coordinating delivery across developers and testers, including estimation, pull-request or design review, defect resolution, releases, production troubleshooting, and communication with product and operations teams.
- Agile, Microsoft Azure/cloud, DevOps, software-development, or related certifications are beneficial but not required.
