AB Facility Services (ABFS) provides commercial facility services, including building maintenance, engineering, janitorial, and mechanical services throughout the Northeast.
About the Role
We are looking for areliable and motivated Engineering Apprentice who is interested in learning building maintenance and engineering. Â This is a hands-on opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and develop skills in building systems and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic building maintenance and engineering tasks.
- Learn and assist with basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and basic repairs.
- Learn to safely use hand and power tools.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Support engineers and maintenance staff with daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, construction, mechanical, or trade experience is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and develop hands-on skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Comfortable working with tools and performing physical tasks.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Trade school, vocational training, or apprenticeship experience is a plus.
