- Experience working directly with software engineers, product managers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and/or XP.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices, including running automated tests in a CI/CD pipeline.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate failures, isolate defects, and communicate clear reproduction steps and evidence.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 or more years of progressive experience in quality engineering, software testing, test automation, application development, or a related engineering field.

- Experience creating and maintaining test frameworks, reusable fixtures and utilities, page objects or component objects, test data, assertions, and reliable selectors.
- Experience with API testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and analyzing test reports, traces, screenshots, videos, and logs.
- Experience using Git and participating in pull requests, code reviews, defect tracking, and Agile delivery practices.
- Ability to investigate failures, identify root causes, distinguish product defects from automation or environment issues, and communicate clear reproduction steps and evidence.
- Ability to collaborate with software engineers, product managers, product owners, and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, assess quality risks, and support release readiness.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience building scalable automation suites for enterprise e-commerce, web, or mobile applications.
- Strong experience with Playwright, including fixtures, parallel execution, retries, trace/video artifacts, network mocking, and cross-browser testing.
- Experience with API automation, contract testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing across distributed systems.
- Experience with TypeScript and test automation design patterns such as page objects, component objects, data builders, and reusable test utilities.
- Experience with test reporting, dashboards, quality metrics, flaky-test analysis, and improving automation reliability and execution time.
- Experience validating pricing, promotions, offers, personalization, checkout, or other customer-facing e-commerce workflows.
- Experience working with cloud-hosted applications, observability tools, logs, service virtualization, or test environments.
- Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or other relational and NoSQL technologies for test-data validation.
- Experience with Kafka or other event-driven systems and validating asynchronous workflows.
- Ability to identify opportunities in the SDLC, application support, reliability, and monitoring, and recommend tools and standards that improve efficiency.
