Great opportunity for Engineers interested in working in the U.S. on a TN Visa. Only citizens of Canada and Mexico are eligible for the TN Visa program.
The ideal candidate will have strong industrial engineering experience, hands-on familiarity with advanced CNC machines, and practical experience with metal fabrication, tooling, stamping, and precision manufacturing processes. Must be willing to re-locate to P.R. U.S. territory.
Core Responsibilities
1. Production
- Operational Oversight: Directly supervise production operations, ensuring optimal workflow, strict adherence to quality standards, and on-time delivery.
- Corporate Standards: Elevate production standards to satisfy the rigorous precision, quality, and delivery expectations of major corporate clients.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze statistical data and operational sequences to minimize costs, identify bottlenecks, and resolve manufacturing problems.
- Production Planning: Coordinate resources, equipment, labor, and workflow to support efficient and reliable production output.
- Machining Optimization: Apply strong familiarity with advanced CNC machines, including 4-axis or greater systems, to optimize tooling design, machining strategy, and cycle times.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, or mechanical issues on advanced CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
- Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to CNC processes, machine utilization, tooling selection, and production methods.
- Fabrication Support: Apply experience with metal fabrication processes to improve production efficiency, material flow, and manufacturing consistency.
- Tooling Knowledge: Support tooling design, setup, maintenance, and process improvement for precision manufacturing applications.
- Stamping Experience: Evaluate and improve stamping operations, tooling performance, part consistency, and production repeatability.
- Manufacturing Methods: Assist in developing practical solutions for forming, cutting, machining, fixturing, and production-related fabrication challenges.
- Cost Analysis: Estimate production costs, identify cost-saving methods, and evaluate the impact of product design changes on manufacturing expenditures.
- Workflow Design: Plan operational sequences, design workspace layouts using CAD, and establish labor utilization standards to maximize efficiency.
- Quality: Coordinate with and assist inspection activities, formulate corrective action plans for equipment accuracy, and manage discrepant materials.
- Documentation: Maintain and improve production documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, production management, manufacturing operations, or a related technical leadership role.
- CNC Expertise: Strong familiarity with 5-axis and other CNC machines, including programming, troubleshooting, machining strategies, tooling, and cycle-time optimization.
- Metal Fabrication Experience: Practical experience with metal fabrication, tooling, stamping, forming, fixturing, and precision manufacturing processes.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience with production workflow, quality systems, process controls, inspection methods, and continuous improvement methods.
- CAD & Process Design: Ability to design or evaluate workspace layouts, production sequences, tooling concepts, fixtures, and process improvements.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Practical, hands-on approach to identifying manufacturing problems and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with management, engineers, technicians, production staff, and quality personnel in English and Spanish.
