Position: Engineer 3
Type: 1 Contractor – Onsite
Location: Pomona, CA 91767
Duration: 18 Months
Seeking an experiencedEngineer 3 to provide technical leadership, engineering support, and hands-on troubleshooting across electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, and facility engineering. This role ensures engineering problems are resolved efficiently, supports cross-functional engineering initiatives, and contributes to high-impact projects through analysis, documentation, and field leadership.
This is a fullyonsite position in Pomona, CA.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Engineering & Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues using electrical diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and design documents.
  • Perform instrumentation setup, data logging, and system testing.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for engineering tasks.
Engineering Leadership
  • Supervise, lead, and coordinate teams executing new technical strategies, equipment deployment, and standards implementation.
  • Provide engineering expertise for high-impact, complex, and cross-functional problem resolution.
  • Conduct engineering studies with full technical responsibility for planning and coordination.
Project & Design Control
  • Ensure engineering facility design basis is controlled and documentation is updated.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Support design reviews, technical strategy development, and system modernization initiatives.
Control Panels, Automation & Networking
  • Perform control panel layout and component mounting (DIN rails, relays, terminal blocks).
  • Route wiring neatly within enclosures; perform wire stripping, crimping, and assembly.
  • Use basic networking knowledge for connected devices and industrial systems.
  • Work with automation platforms such as:
    • LabVIEW
    • Ovation
Additional Technical Areas
  • Support engineering related toenergy storage, generators, and microgrids (preferred).
  • Provide guidance for cross-team field and engineering initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in aSTEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
  • Strong experience in:
    • Electrical diagnostics
    • Control panel layout
    • Instrumentation/data logging
    • Wiring, assembly, and schematic interpretation
  • Proficiency with automation software (LabVIEW, Ovation).
  • Experience conducting engineering studies and resolving technical issues.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with:
    • Energy storage
    • Generators
    • Microgrids
  • CaliforniaProfessional Electrical Engineer (PE) license (preferred, not required).
