What You Will Do

In this role, you’ll drive improvements across our global test network by analyzing DAT Test Yield trends, identifying root causes, and partnering with test sites to elevate performance. You’ll support OEM/MRO test councils, collaborate with cross‑functional teams on network-wide investigations, and lead efforts with the Vibe IPT to resolve vibration-related issues. You’ll maintain and develop test standard work, coordinate test cell tooling and correlation needs, and work closely with MRO test teams to implement process improvements that enhance both quality and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support established and new MRO Disassembly/Assembly/Test (DAT) facilities across the global network.
  • Support and investigate network-wide Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCAs) for First Pass Yield (FPY) and ACAB-identified opportunities.
  • Collaborate with DAT teams and internal stakeholders to identify and implement process and quality improvements.
  • Work closely with lead Test Engineers on FPY reporting, Vibration IPT, Test Council activities, and Test Cell shakedown, correlation, and re-correlation efforts.
  • Provide technical support for test processes, ensuring compliance with established standards and best practices.
  • International / domestic travel as required to support MRO operations and initiatives.

 

What You Will Learn

In this role, you’ll build a strong foundation in engine test operations by learning how to interpret test yield data, spot performance trends, and support basic problem‑solving efforts. You’ll develop practical collaboration skills by working with experienced engineers, quality teams, and test sites across the network. You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to creating and maintaining standard work, understanding vibration issues, and supporting test cell correlation activities. Along the way, you’ll learn how to identify improvement opportunities, contribute to process‑efficiency projects, and grow your technical confidence in a real-world test environment.

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Advanced Degree and 3+ years of experience in Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Operations, Military, Aftermarket or Aviation industry;OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience;OR Associate's degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience;OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training (A&P Certification) and 9+ years of hands-on relevant industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience of Engine Test or Engine Overhaul experience 

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • University degree ideally in Engineering. Mechanical or Quality Engineering preferred
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate (A&P license)
  • Familiarity of aerospace gas turbine engines, engine overhaul and repair (MRO) ideally within Engine Test field of work.
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 145, EASA, AS9110, and other relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/Six Sigma, QCPC and RCCA)
  • Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices & processes, quality standards, and inspections methods & tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP ERP, Solumina MES, CAD programs, and Teamcenter
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
