Senior Data Engineer – Contact Center & Digital Analytics, Assurant GCC India,

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain the data foundations that power contact center and digital interaction analytics. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and software engineering, supporting operational reporting, automation performance, and data‑driven decision‑making at scale.

You’ll work closely with product, engineering, and analytics partners to deliver trusted datasets, scalable pipelines, and well‑defined metrics.

This position will be in Hyderabad and Bengaluru at our India location.

Work Timings: 3:30 PM IST ~ 12:30 AM IST

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Design and maintaindata pipelines (ETL/ELT) that transform high‑volume event and interaction data into analytics‑ready datasets
• Build and optimizeSQL‑based data models, includingstar schemas and semantic layers for reporting
• Develop and maintain standardizedKPIs and metrics used in operational dashboards
• SupportPower BI datasets and reports, ensuring consistency between data models and visualizations
• Investigate data issues in production and partner with engineering teams during releases and incidents
• Contribute todata governance by defining metric definitions, documentation, and data quality checks
• Build supporting services and tooling usingGo (or similar backend languages) following modern software engineering practices

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
• StrongSQL skills and experience designingdimensional (star) schemas
• Hands‑on experience building and operatingETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience supporting BI tools such asPower BI
• Proficiency inGo (preferred) or another backend programming language
• Experience working in production environments with real‑time or operational data

What are the preferred skills needed for this position?

• Experience with contact center, IVR, or digital interaction data
• Familiarity with data governance, metric standardization, or semantic modeling
• Experience supporting automation or AI‑driven products
