About Us:
Sheridan Community Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Coordinator to join our Information Technology team. This full-time position reports to the Information Technology Manager and works closely with physicians, nursing, hospital leadership, clinic management, and staff to support the effective use of electronic medical record technology.
Position Summary:
As our EMR Coordinator, you will serve as an important connection between technology and clinical operations. The position has significant interaction with clinical departments and providers and includes responsibility for EMR implementation, workflow improvement, system integration, and staff training.The position also requires staying current with CMS requirements and educating staff and physicians on appropriate EMR utilization for MIPS/Meaningful Use compliance. Qualifications include clinical informatics experience and knowledge of health IT, analytics, and interoperability.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of electronic medical record systems.
- Work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and clinic managers to improve EMR workflows and resolve system-related issues.
- Coordinate EMR projects, software updates, add-ons, and system interfaces with IT, vendors, and contractors.
- Support MIPS/Meaningful Use requirements, including data collection, documentation, annual attestation, and CMS compliance.
- Assist with the integration of clinical, business office, billing, coding, and health information systems.
- Develop and modify electronic forms in collaboration with clinical departments.
- Train and educate physicians and staff on effective EMR utilization and new initiatives.
- Support electronic exchange of patient information and system interoperability.
- Create and monitor security settings within the electronic health system.
- Provide support for the Patient Portal.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to improve clinical workflows and patient care. The position serves as a key contact and resource for patients and their families throughout the care coordination process.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Â 2+ years of experience in clinical informatics or a similar role, with a strong academic foundation in informatics.
- Master’s degree in medical informatics, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Â Knowledge of data analytics, health IT standards, and/or systems interoperability.
- Â Ability to learn and work with multiple EMR systems.
- Â Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and technical teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and learning new systems and processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while working collaboratively across departments.
