Henry Ford Medical Center – Fairlane is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility located in Dearborn, MI, offering 24-hour emergency care and a wide range of specialty services. As one of the busiest freestanding emergency rooms in the country, our Fairlane ER delivers fast, high-quality care for patients with urgent medical needs.

Our on-site services include laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, and a Walk-In Clinic, treating non-emergency concerns such as fever, eye infections, rashes, coughs, deep cuts, and fractures.

Role Overview

As an Emergency Room Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and providers. Your work ensures that patients receive timely and effective treatment, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our Emergency Department.

What You Will Do

• Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice.
• Support registered nurses and providers in delivering timely and effective treatment.
• Ensure a safe and organized environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide seamless patient care.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• BCLS certification.
• One of the following certifications/programs: B-EMT, Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program, Completion of a formal nursing education program, Completion of a formal medical doctor education program, or One (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience in lieu of above completed certification/program (Must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience.
• EMT license.
