The hiring manager's key focus is on Embedded QA candidates who bring RKDB expertise or deep cable and networking domain experience, including routers, switches, and video platforms, with RKDB knowledge highly preferred.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experiencedEmbedded QA Engineer with strong expertise inembedded systems testing and a solid background incable and networking domains. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing embedded devices such asrouters, switches, and video platforms, along with strong troubleshooting and validation skills.
Candidates with prior experience atComcast or similar cable and networking organizations are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintaintest plans, test cases, and test strategies for embedded systems
- Performfunctional, regression, integration, and system testing on embedded devices
- Work withRKDB for data validation, issue analysis, and troubleshooting (preferred)
- Validate embedded features related tocable, networking, and video technologies
- Debug issues acrosshardware, firmware, and software layers
- Analyze logs, core dumps, packet captures, and system traces
- Collaborate closely withembedded developers, system architects, and product teams
- Ensure quality, performance, reliability, and stability of embedded products
- Document test results, defects, and technical findings clearly.
- 5–10 years of experience inEmbedded QA / Embedded Systems Testing
- Strong understanding ofembedded Linux environments
- Solid knowledge ofnetworking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching)
- Experience withcable and networking devices, including:
- Routers
- Switches
- Video / streaming platforms
- Familiarity withRKDB (preferred)
- Experience testingnetwork protocols and device interfaces
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience withComcast or similar cable/networking service providers
- Knowledge ofDOCSIS, broadband, or video delivery platforms
- Exposure totest automation in embedded environments
- Experience withhardware bring-up and firmware validation
