About the Role

We are seeking an experiencedEmbedded Developer with Bluetooth expertise to join the VROS BSP Scale team, supporting next-generation VR headset development. The team focuses on low-level system software, including bootloader, device tree, kernel configuration, kernel drivers, HAL, device security, and provisioning. You will collaborate with SoC/component vendors, hardware teams, manufacturing engineering, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to deliver high-performance embedded solutions.

Experience Needed

• Experience working withWi-Fi and Bluetooth products on Android.
• Understanding ofwpa_supplicant, hostapd, and libnl.
• Experience debugging complexlow-level kernel driver, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth firmware issues.
• Experience withwireless packet capture and analysis.
• Experience setting upwireless test automation and development environments.
• Programming experience inJavaScript or Python.

• Design and implement drivers and services optimized for constrained environments while delivering high bandwidth and low-latency performance.
• Lead hardware bring-up, peripheral driver development, silicon integration, power management, and performance optimization.
• Debug complex, multi-layer system issues spanning kernel, firmware, and application layers.
• Profile system performance and drive optimizations across the software stack.
• Bring up new devices and lead debugging and performance tuning across hardware, firmware, and software teams.
• Integrate software components from partner teams into the unified product codebase and support their ongoing development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience in:
  • Device driver development
  • Embedded systems
  • Operating systems
• 6+ years of experience working on large-scaleC/C++ codebases.
• Strong experience withAndroid BSP development.
• 2+ years of experience defining and driving technical workstreams and providing technical leadership.
• Experience with software development processes, including source control, bug tracking, and design documentation.
• Experience with hardware bring-up using interfaces such as:
  • Client
  • GPIO
  • SPI
  • I2C
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • BSP (Board Support Package)
  • Operating Systems
  • Android OS
  • RTOS
  • Bootloader
  • Power Management
  • Linux
  • Graphics and Display Drivers
  • MCU (Microcontroller)
• Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software products on large codebases across multiple platforms and tools.
