Electromagnetic Computation Engineer

What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a motivated engineer for enhancing its electromagneticcomputational capability. This position is critical for Tesla’s current andfuture product. This person will be working in the motor research team to developaccelerated computation software and hardware and develop the systemoptimization strategy and workflow.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, integrate, and scale high-performance computational toolsincluding: MPI+CUDA PDE solvers for electromagnetic analysis; domaindecomposition schemes and algebraic multigrid methods; and time domainsimulation frameworks
• Build and train surrogate models and neural operators (PINN, FNO,DeepONet) to accelerate simulation and optimization workflows of electromagneticsystem
• Develop multi-physics simulation strategies for real world operationconditions considering devices uncertainties and nonlinearities

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Computational Engineering or a related field, orequivalent industry experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Experience developing optimization algorithms and workflows
• Good physical understanding of electrical machines and powerelectronics
• Strong programming skills
