Position Overview
Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions across multiple industries, is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to support the research, development, design, integration, and testing of electrical systems for small robotic platforms and ground-based vehicles. This is an early-career engineering role that combines foundational electrical engineering responsibilities with hands-on electrical integration, troubleshooting, and testing. The engineer will work closely with senior engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to develop and validate reliable electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical components, circuits, wiring systems, and electrical subsystems for robotic and ground-based vehicle platforms.
• Create and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and engineering documentation.
• Design, build, and test wiring harnesses, electronic modules, sensors, motor controls, and other electrical components.
• Support electrical system integration, installation, modification, and testing on prototype and production platforms.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems using systematic diagnostic methods and standard test equipment.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers, and other test equipment to evaluate system performance and diagnose issues.
• Support vehicle characterization, electrical system validation, and documentation of test results.
• Develop and execute electrical test methods and procedures to verify designs meet functional and customer requirements.
• Modify and improve electrical prototypes to address functional issues and support product development.
• Support manufacturing, installation, field testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, and other electrical engineers to resolve integration and performance issues.
• Use CAD, PCB design, and other engineering tools to support electrical development.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 0–2 years of related engineering experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, circuit design, and electronic components.
• Basic experience with Altium Designer or equivalent PCB design software.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using structured problem-solving techniques.
• Familiarity with wiring harness design, assembly, and testing.
• Ability and willingness to work hands-on with robotic and vehicle platforms.

• Experience with robotics, autonomous systems, ground vehicles, or other complex electromechanical products.
• Experience with vehicle characterization, electrical integration, or prototype development.
• Experience with PCB design, CAD, soldering, or electronic assembly.
• Experience working in a hands-on product development, testing, or manufacturing environment.
