Position- Electrical Engineer – Hydro Plants

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA
Work Schedule: Onsite, 5 days/week
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm

Position Summary

We are seeking an experiencedElectrical Engineer to support modifications, upgrades, and engineering projects for existing hydroelectric generating plants. The ideal candidate will have strong hydroelectric industry experience and knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify electrical engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical deliverables.
• Support modifications and upgrades to existing hydroelectric generating plants.
• Perform complex engineering analysis and provide technical recommendations.
• Apply applicable engineering codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external engineering teams.
• Review engineering work and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• Support project schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree inElectrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in hydroelectric/hydro plant engineering.
• Familiarity withNFPA 70 (NEC) and theCalifornia Electrical Code.
• Experience withBluebeam.
• Knowledge ofSKM or ETAP is a plus.
• PE License preferred.
• Strong engineering analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to workonsite 5 days/week in Rancho Cordova, CA.
