Summary
As a Commissioning Specialist, you will participate in onsite activities to support Data Center Commissioning projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform all electrical commissioning related activities to include testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance) and equipment and systems start-up, resulting in a safe and functional environment that meets established design requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Engage in owner's L4-L5 Data Center commissioning while overseeing and supporting the L0-L3 commissioning activities.
- Work directly with clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to achieve the best possible outcome for the owner/client with a focus on operational performance and efficiency.
Here's What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience as an electrical commissioning specialist in activities such as: Utility infrastructure, life safety, electrical power systems, low voltage systems, building/facility systems/components, and facility O&M
- 2-3 years of focused experience as an electrical commissioning specialist on documenting L2/L3 activities and leading L4/L5 testing for Data Center commissioning
- Working knowledge of NFPA, NETA and NICET electrical testing and code requirements
- Understanding of the Construction process
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to clear a background check
- Ability to travel up to 95%
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- Ideally the candidate will reside in the Washington DC or Northern Va Metro area - Expenses will be considered for the right candidate
- Industry recognized commissioning certification
- IR thermography Level 1 or Level 2 certification
- AWS or similar L4 lead certification
- NFPA 70E certification
- OSHA 10 (minimum), OSHA 30 (preferred)
- Experience with PQMs
