Lighthouse has great opportunities for high school students!  

Many of these start in late summer or fall, but we accept applications year round.  

Automotive Technician Apprentice:

• Train as a Technician Apprentice in auto repair!  You'll start with the basics, and you'll have a chance to work with skilled and master technicians and gain a good introduction service repair in the auto trade.  
• Successful and skilled apprentices are usually our first choice when selecting new apprentices for the GM-ASEP or Diesel Technology programs at ICC (opportunities to gain an applied sciences associates degree as you train to be a technician!).
• There are limited openings for this role (usually 1-3 per year, and Lighthouse sends 1-3 students to our ICC programs).
• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and must have part-time availability during the weekday (Lighthouse service department hours are from 8 AM to 5:30 PM).
• The college program allows apprentices to work at Lighthouse alongside studying at ICC; tuition and expenses will be paid for apprentices who commit to work for the dealership after graduation.
• Pay begins at $15/hr and increases with training and hours of experience. 
  

Lighthouse Sales Assistant:

• Experience the sales floor of an active and growing dealership, with great teamwork and values!  
• Sales assistants support the work of our sales team with a variety of tasks often involving advertising (taking photos of vehicles), assistance in inventory management, and even some deal prep (paperwork and computer skills).  
• Successful and skilled sales assistants are strongly considered when selecting new full time Sales and Leasing Consultants!
• There are limited openings for this role (usually 1-2 per year).    
• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, and the minimum age for Sales and Leasing Consultant is 18.  
• Applicants with part-time availability during the weekday, and Saturday availability preferred.  Motivated applicants with Saturday-only availability may still apply.  
• Pay begins at $15/hr and increases with training and hours of experience.  

Body Technician Apprentice:

• Train as a Technician who focuses on auto body work!  
• The body shop is a specific type of repair work that restores cars and trucks that have been wrecked or damaged.  You'll start with the basics and have a chance to work with skilled and master technicians to gain a good introduction auto body repair at our Collision Center.  
• Successful and skilled apprentices are strongly considered when Lighthouse hires full time technicians or selects technicians to advance in I-CAR training and certification (an industry standard for auto body work).
• There are limited openings for this role (Lighthouse usually has 1-3 openings per year).  
• Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, and have part-time availability during the weekday (Collision Center hours are 8 AM to 5:00 PM)
• Pay begins at $15/hr and increases with training and hours of experience.
