Position Overview 

The Systems Engineeris responsible forthe design, development, and validation of residential HVAC systems and components. This role supports innovation initiatives and works cross-functionally with laboratory, manufacturing, and product engineering teams to deliver high-performance, manufacturable solutions. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and develop residential HVAC systems and subsystems 

• Develop andvalidate thermal and system-level models to support design decisions 

• Collaborate with laboratory teams on performance, reliability, and compliance testing 

• Evaluate system readiness for manufacturability and production 

• Partner with manufacturing to translate design requirements into scalable solutions 

• Troubleshoot system-level issues and support continuous improvement efforts 

• Support multiple small projects or tasks to meet program objectives 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or technical field and at least 3 years of experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and design 

• ORMaster’s degree and at least 1 year of experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and design 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics 

• Experience in HVAC system design or related field 

• Knowledge of material science and reliability engineering fundamentals 

• Experience with design of experiments and data analysis techniques 

• Experience withCREO,CAD software

Additional Information 

• This role requires onsite presence in Indianapolis 

• Candidates should be comfortable working with lab teams, technicians, and manufacturing partners
