The Educational Diagnostician will conduct educational evaluations and assessments, complete FIEs, prepare comprehensive evaluation documentation, and support ARD processes and Special Education compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- ConductFull Individual Evaluations (FIEs).
- Perform educational assessments and administer/interprete applicable assessment tools.
- Determine student eligibility for Special Education services.
- Prepare accurate, comprehensive, and legally compliant evaluation reports.
- UseCross-Battery Assessment Software System (XBASS) as required for applicable learning disability evaluations.
- Schedule, plan, and facilitate ARD meetings as required.
- Ensure ARD management complies with state-mandated timelines.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, District staff, and other professionals.
- Provide recommendations regarding classroom arrangements, behavioral interventions, strategies, and student support.
- Complete evaluations thoroughly and within specified timelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and information.
- Manage multiple assignments and projects.
- Support campus Diagnostician office responsibilities when assigned.
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- CurrentEducational Diagnostician Certification.
- Certification/licensure maintained in good standing.
- Knowledge of school psychology practices, behavioral assessment, mental health evaluation, and Special Education regulations.
- Proficiency in assessment administration and interpretation.
- Knowledge of federal and Texas Special Education rules and regulations.
- Ability to prepare accurate, comprehensive, and legally compliant evaluation reports.
- Ability to complete evaluations within required timelines.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments/projects.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Successful background/fingerprinting check.
- Adherence to professional and ethical standards.
- Successful interview and professional recommendations.
- Previous experience working as anEducational Diagnostician.
- Experience working with students with disabilities and supporting teachers.
