Middleware Engineer - Rwanda

We are looking to hire a Middleware engineer for our client in Rwanda, the candidate should have experience in DevOps / Middleware platforms with an excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have broad devops experience with demonstrated experience in establishing DevOps solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and build DevOps processes and procedures
• Experience supporting Web Services API Standards, Tools and Technologies
• Design build plans, assist developers with failures and manage software configurations
• Provide design suggestions and guidance on application integration, data validation processes and error reporting
• Debug production outages and take actions resulting from root cause analysis
• Monitor production environment and act to keep systems stable and running
• Lead production migrations (off-hours) and provide off-hour support when needed to troubleshoot problems with mission-critical applications
• Continual improvement of processes and toolsets for better efficiency

Requirements

• Experience supporting Web Services API Standards, Tools and Technologies
• Extensive hands-on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery technology experience
• Deep knowledge of multiple monitoring tools and how to mine them for advanced data
• Creative and innovative approach to problem solving and passion for continuous improvement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Must have passion for technology and automation
