WireCo is seeking a skilled JD Edwards (JDE) EnterpriseOne 9.2 Developer to join our Global IT team in Portugal. This role combines hands-on JDE development with production support, business process improvement, and collaboration across WireCo’s global manufacturing operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with business users, regional IT teams, and global JDE resources to resolve issues, develop and enhance JDE solutions, and support WireCo’s strategy of standardizing business processes and reducing unnecessary customizations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Support & Issue Resolution

• Provide JDE application support to users in Portugal and across WireCo as needed, troubleshooting issues in functional areas including Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Finance.
• Manage assigned incidents and service requests through the global support process, maintaining clear documentation, ownership, and timely resolution.
• Liaise with global support and development teams for complex or escalated issues.

Development & Configuration

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain JDE EnterpriseOne 9.2 applications, reports, interfaces, business functions, and other custom objects.
• Develop and support JDE Orchestrator solutions, UDOs, E1 Pages, Watchlists, Form Extensions, and automated workflows where appropriate.
• Ensure all development follows WireCo standards for documentation, testing, security, source control, change management, and production deployment.

Process Improvement & Standardization

• Promote standard JDE functionality and actively identify opportunities to simplify or eliminate unnecessary customizations.
• Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements that align with global ERP best practices.
• Work with business users to evaluate enhancement requests for feasibility within standard JDE capabilities.

Collaboration & Communication

• Support training and knowledge-sharing for local end-users and global support staff.
• Contribute to global team meetings, documentation efforts, and continuous improvement discussions.
• Build strong relationships across functional teams and geographies.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development experience, preferably in EnterpriseOne 9.2.
• Familiarity with functional areas such as Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Inventory, and Sales.
• Hands-on experience with JDE EnterpriseOne development tools, including Object Management Workbench (OMW), Form Design Aid (FDA), Report Design Aid (RDA), and Table Design Aid (TDA).
• Technical experience with NER, C business functions (BSFN), SQL, data structures, tables, and troubleshooting JDE integrations and customizations.
• Fluent in Portuguese; proficiency in English is essential for global team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JDE Orchestrator, UDOs, E1 Pages, Watchlists, Form Extensions, and related EnterpriseOne capabilities.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across business functions.
• Experience supporting global or multinational manufacturing environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across countries and time zones using standard enterprise collaboration and support tools.

• Work is primarily performed in an office environment with regular interaction across multiple countries and time zones.
• Occasional travel to WireCo locations and manufacturing facilities may be required.
• Major incidents or business requirements may occasionally require support outside normal business hours.
