What you’ll do

As a Senior / Engineer in our Ports, Marine & Coastal team based in Perth, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind.

The position may be offered at Senior Engineer or Engineer level, depending on your experience, technical capability, leadership responsibilities and project delivery track record.

• Contributetothedeliveryofports,harbours,jetties,wharves,marineterminalsandcoastalinfrastructureprojects,undertakingdesign,analysisandtechnicalproblemsolving.

• Coordinatewithmultidisciplinaryprojectteamstodelivertechnicalworkpackages,supportingprojectplanning,interfacesanddeliveryrequirements.

• Developandreviewtechnicalanalyses,calculations,models,drawings,specificationsandreports,ensuringcompliancewithprojectrequirements,relevantstandardsandAurecon'squalityexpectations.

• Supporttheresolutionoftechnicalanddeliverychallengesbyconsideringsafety,constructability,operability,cost,programme,qualityandrisktoachievepracticaloutcomes.

• Assistwithprojectdeliveryactivitiesincludingscope,schedule,resourcing,riskmanagementandclientcommunication,whilecontributingtoproposalsandbusinessdevelopmentopportunities.

• Supportandmentorjuniorteammembers,contributetoinvestigationsandconstruction-phaseservices,andapplydigitalengineeringtoolstoenhanceprojectoutcomesandteamcapability.

What you’ll bring

• AustraliancitizenshipandeligibilitytoobtainandmaintainanAustralianDefenceSecurityClearancearemandatory.

• A bachelor'sdegreeincivilengineeringorarelateddiscipline,withrelevantstructural,geotechnical,coastal,maritimeorportexpertise;postgraduatequalificationsandCharteredstatus,orprogresstowardsCharteredstatus,arehighlyregarded.

• Typically4-10+yearsofrelevantexperienceinports,marineandcoastalinfrastructure,withappointmentatEngineerorSeniorEngineerleveldependingonexperience,technicalcapabilityandprojectdeliveryexperience.

• Experience contributingtothedeliveryofportandmaritimeprojects,withexposuretoareassuchasmarinestructures,jettiesandwharves,berthingandmooring,terminals,coastalinfrastructure,dredging,reclamation,conditionassessmentorremediation.

• Anunderstandingofprojectdeliveryprinciples,includingscope,schedules,budgets,riskandchangemanagement,withtheabilitytoworkeffectivelywithclientsandmultidisciplinaryteams.

• Demonstratedabilitytoproducehigh-qualitytechnicaloutputsandcollaboratewithprojectteams,withexperienceusingrelevantengineeringanddigitaltoolssuchasSpaceGass,STAAD.Pro,Optimoor,Rhinoceros3D,BIM,NavisworksorGIS.
