Location: Long Beach, California
Pay Range: $20.00–$20.00 per hour

ECAM is hiring for two full-time security monitoring positions at our Long Beach location:
CCTV Monitoring Specialist
Security Command Center Operator
Both roles support ECAM's technology-driven security operations by monitoring live video, camera alarms, and activity across multiple client locations.
These are not traditional standing security officer positions.
Depending on the role and assigned shift, you will monitor surveillance systems, identify suspicious or unusual activity, assess security events, document incidents, follow client-specific response procedures, and coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, security personnel, clients, and other responders when necessary.

Available Positions
CCTV Monitoring Specialist
Typical Schedule: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
Days: Vary and may include weekends and holidays
The CCTV Monitoring Specialist focuses primarily onvideo surveillance, observation, incident identification, documentation, and escalation.
In this role, you will monitor live and recorded camera footage, identify suspicious or potentially unsafe activity, evaluate security events, document what you observe, and initiate the appropriate response based on established client protocols.
Security Command Center Operator
Typical Schedule: 10:30 PM–7:00 AM
Days: Vary and may include weekends and holidays
The Security Command Center Operator combinesvideo monitoring with incident response, communication, and response coordination.
In this role, you will monitor security events, assess potentially suspicious or criminal activity, manage communications, document incidents, and coordinate with security personnel, clients, law enforcement, fire departments, and other responders when escalation is required.
Applicants may be considered for either position based on experience, qualifications, scheduling availability, and business needs.

What You'll Do
Depending on your assigned position, responsibilities may include:
Monitor live video feeds, camera alarms, and security activity across multiple client locations.
Review live and recorded surveillance footage to identify suspicious activity, safety concerns, security threats, or potential criminal activity.
Assess security events and determine the appropriate response based on established procedures and client-specific protocols.
Escalate incidents to law enforcement, fire departments, security personnel, clients, or other responders when appropriate.
Use surveillance and communication technology to help deter suspicious or unwanted activity.
Answer and manage inbound calls using a multi-line phone system.
Coordinate response activities and communicate critical information accurately.
Communicate professionally with clients, security personnel, emergency responders, and internal teams.
Accurately document incidents, observations, communications, and actions taken.
Navigate multiple monitoring systems and computer applications simultaneously.
Monitor multiple sites, cameras, alarms, and active events while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Follow client-specific procedures and escalation requirements.
Protect confidential, proprietary, and legally protected information.
Assist with audits, research, process documentation, and other operational projects.
Perform other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the assigned position.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to work the assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn multiple software platforms.
Ability to type at least40 words per minute.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to effectively navigate Google Maps or similar mapping applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond appropriately to time-sensitive situations.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the assigned position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Previous security experience is helpful but is not required if you bring strong transferable skills and the ability to learn the role.
Relevant experience may include:
CCTV or video surveillance monitoring
Security operations center or command center operations
Remote video monitoring
Alarm or central station monitoring
Security dispatch
Emergency or public safety communications
Loss prevention or asset protection
Casino or gaming surveillance
Operations center monitoring
Call center work involving incident response or escalation
Other positions requiring real-time monitoring, accurate documentation, and timely decision-making

The essential functions of these positions generally involve working at a computer workstation, viewing multiple monitors for extended periods, using a keyboard and telephone, and communicating with others.
