š What Does a Center Director Do?
As aCenter Director, youāre the heartbeat of your center.Youāll lead your team, support teachers, partner with families, celebrate children, tackle challenges, and help create a center where people genuinely want to be.Some days youāll be planning and problem-solving. Other days you might jump into a classroom, celebrate a childās accomplishment, support a teacher, or simply share a laugh with your team.
No two days are exactly alikeāand thatās what makes this job so much fun!
šÆ In This Role, You Will:
- Lead the way by overseeing daily operations and keeping things running smoothly.
- Build your team by recruiting, mentoring, encouraging, and supporting staff.
- Build relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Champion great teaching by supporting ourE.P.I.C. Curriculum Framework and high-quality early learning practices.
- Keep things moving by managing staffing, scheduling, enrollment, documentation, and compliance.
- Partner with families by listening, communicating, solving problems, and celebrating successes.
- Create a place people love by keeping your center welcoming, safe, engaging, and full of positive energy.
- Be a problem solver who can stay calm, think creatively, and find solutions.

š What Youāll Bring
- Bachelorās Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred; Associateās Degree considered with relevant experience.
- Previous early childhood experience, preferably in a leadership or administrative role.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Wisconsin childcare licensing regulations and early childhood best practices.
- A collaborative, positive leadership style.
- Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for children, families, and teachers.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within three months.
- Successful completion of required background check, health screening, and TB test.
