Early Childhood Campus Lead - Pleasanton

This position is approximately 4 hours per week.

Role Description

The EC Campus Lead plays a key leadership role in supporting the weekly function and long-term health of Early Childhood. This position oversees Sunday staffing, volunteer coordination, classroom readiness, team communication, and ministry support functions. The EC Campus Lead works closely with staff and volunteers to ensure services are well organized, properly staffed, and aligned with ministry standards and safety expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create Sunday schedules for nursery staff and volunteers.
• Ensure adequate volunteer and paid staff coverage for weekly services.
• Recruit, train, and schedule new volunteers and employees.
• Provide leadership, direction, and team-building support for staff and volunteers.
• Oversee Growth Track for volunteers.
• Maintain and track work permits.
• Pick up curriculum from Concord as needed.
• Coordinate with Lucy regarding materials and Early Childhood protocols.
• Review curriculum and prepare for Sunday services.
• Maintain a safe environment for children and adults.
• Provide oversight for volunteer and staff instructions.
• Provide oversight or direction regarding diaper-changing procedures.
• Organize summer camp childcare, and worship night childcare in coordination with Lucy.
• Organize ECE responsibilities outside of Sunday services as needed.
• Communicate staff updates, schedule changes, and prayer requests.
• Manage CCB records for new volunteers.
• Purchase and manage supplies for Early Childhood ministry.
• Give volunteers direction during services.
• Collaborate on the flow of service and lead transitions.
• Communicate with parents regarding concerns or ministry-related needs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage ministry operations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and scheduling skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, and support volunteers and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with consistency and professionalism.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-prepared ministry environment.
• Experience in children’s ministry, volunteer leadership, or team management preferred.
• Alignment with the mission and values of the church.
