Phlebotomist / Lab Support Tech

Job Description​

Saint Luke's Hospitals is seeking patient-focused, compassionate, and skilledPhlebotomist/Lab Support Technicians to join our team. Multiple shifts and locations are available. In this role, you will support laboratory operations through specimen collection, processing, patient registration, test ordering, Point-of-Care testing, and other critical laboratory functions. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Accurately match patient specimens with provider test orders in the LIS/EMR.
• Perform and document Point-of-Care testing as required.
• Identify and address factors that may affect accurate specimen collection.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and care teams regarding patient collections and specimen needs.
• Support specimen processing, laboratory quality initiatives, and other laboratory operations.
