We are seeking an Associate level person to join us in our Strategic Capital Solutions (“SCS”) team.

The SCS team covers the APAC region and specialises in structured capital advisory (e.g. private credit and structured equity fundraising solutions), and pre-emptive debt restructuring. We are a first mover in fast growing private credit space, which has expanded significantly in Asia over the last 7 years.

What you can expect from the EdgeProgramme

Years 1 & 2 (EdgeProgramme)

Edge Programme is a 2years rotationalprogramme within your home business unit and other Deals competencies.

Upon commencement, you will attend anintensive 1-month PwC Masterclass course which will help you develop the necessary skills to work on valuation and financial modelling projects. Thereafter, we willfacilitate and sponsor you for the Chartered Valuer and AppraiserProgramme (CVA) to further develop your Business Valuation skills.

You may view the different Deals competencieshere. Kindly note that allocations will be onbest effort basis, depending on individual business requirements. Details on the rotation programme and routes will be made available for you during thisprogramme.

Year 3 onwards (Specialisation)

In your third year, you willspecialise in your Deals competency. This is when you integrate your foundation experience and sector knowledge to advise our clients on their evaluation of M&A and Infrastructure project opportunities, or on restructuring and turning around their businesses. In the process,you’ll learn about the deal dynamics and financial intricacies of various industries.

The objective of this rotationalprogramme is to grow your internal network, provide you with a good foundation while giving you the opportunity to develop more diverse knowledge across multiple Deals competencies, which you canspecialise in from your 3rd year onwards.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate within the team, you will:

Work closely with senior team members from deal origination to execution of live transactions, with responsibilities including:
Research and carry out business and financial analysis for assessing suitable capital structure solutions and operational / strategic optimisation
Build comprehensive financial models and perform financial analysis to support client strategic decisions
Craft teasers and confidential information memorandum to market fundraising deals
Participate in strategic and operational brainstorming sessions with the wider PwC deals team to help create tailored solutions for clients

What We’re Looking For

Final year Accountancy, Business, Economics and Finance students from local and overseas universities.
Excellent academic (minimum 2nd class upper) and co-curricular achievement record.
Strong interest in finance, investment banking, private credit and / or private equity
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Previous internship experience or active membership in Corporate Finance or Investment Banking clubs is a plus with prior financial modelling experience.
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to balance work and fun and be a positive influence to the team.
