Oversee the nightly operations of our  Pulmonary Stepdown Unit , ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and caring to our patients. Partner closely with  Patient Care Director, who will help mentor and guide you in your new leadership role.

Establish short- and long-term goals for the unit, manage and evaluate staff, lead nightly huddles, support clinical decision-making and work closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate services. Regularly assess unit operations (including patient flow and throughput) to identify room for improvement. Lead initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance throughout the unit. Continuously move forward in your career, as you receive numerous opportunities to learn and grow.

Position is Fulltime 4 evening shifts per work week, 2pm to 12 Midnight  flexibility in shifts and days for meetings, JCAHO and payroll

Preferred Criteria 

• Master’s Degree in Nursing

• PCCN Certification

Required Criteria

• At least two years of acute care RN experience in a stepdown unit (vent experience preferred)

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)

• BCLS certification
