About the Role

As a Lead Production Quality Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Based in Vandalia, OH, you will support quality assurance and quality control activities that enable the delivery of safe, reliable, and compliant aerospace products.

This role has meaningful autonomy within established functional practices and procedures. You will use your technical knowledge, prior experience, and sound judgment to resolve manufacturing quality issues, improve processes, and partner across teams to support operational performance.

In this role you will:

• Own quality assurance and quality control activities associated with manufacturing processes, products, and services.
• Ensure conformance through manufacturing process reviews, incoming goods control, product inspection, and witness-point activities.
• Apply technical expertise and knowledge of manufacturing quality practices to execute quality policies, strategies, and procedures.
• Analyze straightforward quality and production issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions with guidance as needed.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support departmental objectives.
• Use knowledge of business and operational drivers to prioritize work and understand the impact of quality activities across the broader organization.
• Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, and services.
• Stay informed of relevant industry trends and apply insights that support the broader quality function.
• Provide informal guidance, coaching, and support to new team members.

The Ideal Candidate

You are a detail-oriented quality professional with experience supporting manufacturing operations and improving process performance. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicate clearly across functions, and take ownership of delivering high-quality results.

You are comfortable working within established processes while using judgment to identify practical improvements. You have a continuous-improvement mindset and can translate quality requirements into disciplined execution on the production floor.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in a relevant job family group or function.
• Experience in manufacturing and production quality, including quality assurance and/or quality control activities.
• Ability to apply technical and analytical thinking to resolve manufacturing quality issues.
• Ability to work effectively within established quality systems, policies, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Have QMS and APQP Knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and drive issue resolution.
• Experience with product inspection, incoming goods control, manufacturing conformance, and process quality.
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs or improvement initiatives.
• Established project management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a continuous-improvement mindset.
• Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
