YourRoleandResponsibilities

AsanHSESpecialist, you play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and sustainable working environment at our Ede site. You are a trusted advisor, coach, and sparring partnerforcolleaguesatalllevelsoftheorganization,helpingtostrengthenourhealth,safety,andenvironmentalcultureonadailybasis.

You combine strategic insight with a hands-on approach. One moment, you are working on compliance matters, reporting, or audits; the next, youareoutontheshopfloorsupportingcolleaguesinworkingsafelyandimprovingprocesses.Throughyourexpertiseandpersuasivecommunicationskills,youincreaseawarenessanddrivesustainableimprovementsinhealth,safety,andenvironmentalperformance.

Inthisrole,youwillberesponsiblefor:

• Drivingbehavioralchangeandincreasingawarenessaroundhealth,safety,andenvironmentaltopics.
• Ensuringcompliancewithlegislation,regulations,policies,procedures,andcertificationrequirements.
• Implementingnewlegislation,internaldirectives,andHSEinitiatives.
• Coordinatingandsupportinginternalandexternalaudits,inspections,andcompliancereviews.
• Developing,maintaining,andimprovingHSEprocedures,workinstructions,andreporting.
• Investigatingincidentsandinitiatingcorrectiveandpreventiveactions.
• Ensuringtheavailabilityofappropriatesafetyequipment,tools,andpersonalprotectiveequipment.
• SupportingHSEactivitieswithinboththemanufacturingenvironmentandcommercialdepartments,includingSales.
• CollaboratingwithnationalandinternationalstakeholderstofurtherstrengthenABB'sHSEculture.
• Initiatingandsupportingsustainabilityandcircularityprojects.

QualificationsfortheRole

You are an independent and proactiveHSEprofessionalwhoeasilyconnectswithpeopleandcantranslatecomplexchallengesintopracticalsolutions.Youarecomfortabletakingownership,maintainingavisiblepresenceontheshopfloor,andengagingothersinapositivewaytoembracechange.

Additionally,youbring:

• Bachelor'sdegreelevel(HBO)workingandthinkingcapability.
• AcompletedHigherSafetyManagement(HVK)qualification.
• Atleast5yearsofrelevantexperienceinasimilarrole,suchasHSESpecialist,SafetyAdvisor,orQHSEManager.
• ExperiencewithISOcertificationsandmanagementsystems.
• Extensiveexperienceinamanufacturingorindustrialenvironment.
• KnowledgeofelectricalengineeringandNEN3140isastrongadvantage.
• Theabilitytotranslatelegislationandregulationsintoconcreteactionsandimplementationplans.
• Excellentorganizationalskillsandtheabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiessimultaneously.
• Strongcommunicationandstakeholdermanagementskills.
• Anentrepreneurialandself-drivenmindset.
• ExcellentcommandofbothDutchandEnglish,writtenandspoken.
