Behavioral Health Director

Grace Health is seeking an experiencedBehavioral Health Director to lead our Behavioral Health department and help advance high-quality, patient-centered, integrated care.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing behavioral health operations and clinical services, supporting staff and providers, driving quality improvement, and partnering with organizational leadership on strategic growth. The Director will help improve access to care, strengthen integration between medical and behavioral health services, monitor department performance, and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead behavioral health operations, clinical services, and team performance.
• Support integrated care and collaboration between behavioral health and medical providers.
• Provide clinical consultation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment as needed.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives using data and performance metrics.
• Oversee staffing, department goals, budgeting, and operational performance.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and service growth.
• Support hiring, coaching, training, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with behavioral health standards, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications

Experience: Strong practice management experience, including supervision

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Current Michigan professional behavioral health license, such as LPC, LMSW/LCSW, or Psychologist.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health practices and integrated care.
• Leadership experience in behavioral health or healthcare preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Experience with quality improvement and healthcare operations preferred.
• Ph.D. or Psy.D. preferred.
