Dynatrace Architect / SME’s

About The Job:

• Shift Time: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST (Europe Time Zone Support)
• The Observability Architect is responsible for guiding solution development through requirements gathering, analysis, discovery, and business planning activities.
• The role oversees the overall architecture of application monitoring, user experience analytics, technical insights, dashboards, and reporting solutions across enterprise environments.
• The successful candidate will leverage Dynatrace to optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, perform root cause analysis, and provide end-to-end observability solutions.
• This role also serves as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them design, implement, and enhance enterprise monitoring strategies.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work as a Dynatrace Observability Architect to help customers resolve complex application performance and monitoring challenges.
• Gather customer application monitoring requirements, infrastructure details, data sources, and architecture diagrams.
• Recommend monitoring baselines, KPIs, SLAs, alerting frameworks, and infrastructure sizing requirements.
• Design, configure, and maintain dashboards, alerts, reports, and monitoring frameworks within Dynatrace.
• Perform performance analysis, root cause identification, troubleshooting, and optimization for enterprise applications.
• Provide end-to-end observability support across application, infrastructure, network, and user experience layers.
• Analyze large data sets and monitoring trends to identify operational improvements and performance opportunities.
• Manage client expectations, coordinate tasks, and deliver observability solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Drive implementation and adoption of enterprise monitoring best practices.

Qualifications:
Mandatory Technical Skills

• Experience installing and configuring Dynatrace agents, ActiveGates, OneAgent, and monitoring collectors.
• Hands-on experience setting up end-to-end monitoring frameworks using Dynatrace in critical production environments.
• Experience with Dynatrace Managed (On-Premises) and Dynatrace SaaS (Cloud) platforms.
• Experience configuring and managing Dynatrace Managed Clusters.
• Experience migrating monitoring configurations and data between cloud and on-premises environments.
• Experience configuring problem notifications, alerting profiles, and escalation workflows.
• Experience implementing Real User Monitoring (RUM) and Synthetic Monitoring solutions.
• Strong experience integrating Dynatrace with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and collaboration tools such as Slack.
• Experience designing and implementing advanced Dynatrace diagnostics solutions across complex enterprise environments.
• Experience troubleshooting user-level performance issues through Dynatrace RUM.
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace Grail for log management, analytics, and troubleshooting.

Additional Technical Skills

• Exposure to event correlation, AIOps, and machine learning concepts.
• Experience with Event Management planning, design, and strategy.
• Knowledge of authentication and access management using LDAP and SAML.
• Exposure to middleware technologies including Web Servers, Application Servers, Messaging Platforms, and Integration Layers.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, CDK, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to Performance Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, and Performance Test Reporting.
• Working knowledge of open-source monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience with integration engineering and enterprise monitoring integrations.
• Ability to develop scripts using Python, Bash Shell, and PowerShell.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6–8+ years of experience in client-facing Infrastructure Monitoring, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), Observability, Architect, or Consultant roles.
• Strong experience designing enterprise observability and monitoring solutions.

Certifications

• Dynatrace Associate Certification (Mandatory).
• Dynatrace Professional Certification (Preferred).
