Tessera is seeking a skilled Tractor Trailer Driver tosafely and efficiently operate combination vehicles with a gross weight of26,001 pounds or more and towing capacity exceeding10,000 pounds at WSBOSC. This role includes operating tractors with flatbed, lowboy, dry van, refrigerated, and heavy haul trailers to transport personnel and products both on public highways and within the military base.The Driver is expected to provide safe,timely, and courteous service whilemaintaining compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Operate heavy vehicles, including tractor/trailer combinations, for personnel and cargo transport.
Deliver cargo and vehicles, including HAZMAT and oversized loads, ensuring proper loadsecurity.
Perform pre-trip inspections, preventive maintenance, and fueling of vehicles.
Maintainaccurate trip logs and clear communication with customers.
Support motor pool operations, including medium truck and bus driving as needed.
Uphold safety, compliance, and professional appearanceat all times.
Qualifications:
Highschool Diploma/GED isrequired.
CDL Class Arequired, with HAZMAT, Tanker, and passenger endorsement.
TWIC preferred.
Forklift certificationis preferred.
Mustpossess a valid US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s Identification Card.
Must have current or be able to obtain Medical Examiners Certificate (DOT Card) beforehire.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability toperform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or withoutassistance.The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to70pounds.
May berequired to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also berequired.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

A valid state driver’s license isrequired with the ability to obtain andmaintain coverage byTessera’s insurance.
