FieldBridge is looking for a Drilling Fluids Engineer in Bossier City, LA.We offer weekly pay + benefits.
Pay Rate/Schedule:
$31.00/hour | 14/14 rotation, 24-hour coverage while on hitch | Weekly pay every Friday | Great opportunity for overtime pay | At $31.00/hr and 50 hrs/week, for example, earn weekly paychecks of $1,705 gross.
Important Notes:
- Contract role with potential to convert to full-time
- $30/day per diem; housing provided while on site
- 100% onsite at the well site
- Mud school certification and math test required
- Must pass pre-employment screening
Position Overview:
Provide on-site drilling fluids service to operators in the Haynesville region. Run routine and specialized mud testing, interpret results, and recommend fluid treatments to optimize drilling performance. Serve as a senior technical resource and mentor to field service representatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret routine and specialized tests on oil-based and water-based mud systems
- Run volume and hydraulics calculations and recommend fluid treatments
- Track material usage and maintain accurate inventory and billing records
- Partner with operator representatives and rig crews on operations planning and drilling optimization
- Mentor and train field service representatives; review well recaps for accuracy and lessons learned
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma; bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferred
- 10+ years of experience as a fluid service representative / mud engineer
- Mud school certification (Halliburton/Baroid mud school preferred)
- Oil-based and water-based mud experience
- Haynesville experience
- Prior Halliburton experience strongly preferred
- Current PEC or SafeLand certification
- Strong computer skills
- Able to work a 14/14 rotation with 24-hour coverage while on location
