YOUR NEW ROLE

•The role of a Consultant (ABAP  - Delivery Lead) will have a strong focus placed on:

• design, develop, and maintain SAP applications using the ABAP programming language on SAP ECC6 and S4Hana
• -translate business requirements into technical solutions
• -Carry out detailed impact assessments on the as is to inform change scope and solution impacts
• -guiding and managing SAP ECC project implementations, as well as other projects and initiatives for the SAP domain
• -strong understanding of SAP ECC modules, project management principles, and client requirements

• As well as the required technical skills we are looking for someone who is solutions driven and thrives in working in a team to achieve overall service and project delivery goals
• The role holder needs to be able to work autonomously, whilst also being a supportive team player who is colleague focused and committed to delivering quality solutions with consideration of business process and controls
• They will have a ‘Can do’ attitude and flexible to support other domains/streams or carry out other activities as the need arises
• Strong personal resilience with proven ability to work under tight timeframes and juggling multiple projects in parallel is also required
• Proven ability to plan effectively and take accountability for delivery and complete multiple initiatives to improve the operational efficiency highly desired
• Proven ability to coach and mentor more junior team members

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following experience:

• Successfully completed multiple full lifecycle projects as a lead SAP Delivery Lead

• 8-10 years proven experience as delivery lead with SAP ABAP design and development expertise

• Experienced in IT Service management including risk management

• Solid understanding of current and emerging SAP technology trends around SAP ECC 6 and Hana

• Previous experience with integration between SAP and to other third-party systems (both cloud and on-premise)

• Experience in SAP ECC 6 administration

• SAP ABAP knowledge

• Previous experience in delivering change for Software as a SaaS applications

• Previous experience working in and on/offshore based
• Proficiency in ABAP and PI/PO, including object-oriented ABAP, SAP Fiori, UI5 and oData development

• Basic understanding of SAP ECC modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM,  etc.) 

• Understanding and experience with SAP Solution Manager for project management and system landscape management. 

• Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of SAP projects. 

• Familiarity with SAP landscape architecture, including Basis, security, and infrastructure components. 

• Understanding of integration between SAP ECC and other systems, including Web Services, Java connectors, and REST APIs. 

• Experience with UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and other testing methodologies. 

• Ability to lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative environment. 

• Excellent documentation and engaging communication skills with proven ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues in plain language to stakeholders
