About Doodle LabsÂ
Doodle Labs builds the connectivity backbone of the autonomous systems revolution - resilient wireless mesh networks that let drones, robots, and unmanned platforms operate reliably in the world's most demanding environments. We sit at the intersection of defense, robotics, and next-generation autonomy, powering the machines that are changing how militaries, first responders, and industries operate in the field. Our core purpose is simple: connect anyone and anything, at any time, in any place.Â
For over 25 years, our team has been at the forefront of mesh networking, partnering with leading defense programs, robotics manufacturers, and system integrators worldwide. The work here doesn't sit in a slide deck - it ends up in the field, in the hands of people for whom failure isn't an option.Â
About the RoleÂ
The Solutions Engineer is responsible for supporting customer deployment success across unmanned systems and wireless networking integrations and will play a key role in enabling customers to successfully deploy Doodle Labs radios in real-world autonomous systems.Â
In this role, you will work closely with robotics engineers, autonomy teams, field operators, firmware engineers, and customer program teams to integrate, validate, troubleshoot, and optimize wireless networking solutions across drones, UGVs, USVs, and other robotic platforms. This position will help shape customer deployment success, technical validation workflows, and field-driven product improvements as Doodle Labs continues to scale.Â
This is an opportunity to directly impact the future of autonomous systems by helping customers deploy robotics platforms that operate reliably in mission-critical environments.Â
What You'll DoÂ
- Become a technical expert in Doodle Labs radios, firmware, configuration tools, and deployment architecturesÂ
- Support customer integrations, platform testing, field evaluations, and troubleshooting effortsÂ
- Test newly developed hardware and software against customer use cases including connected teams, UAVs, and unmanned systemsÂ
- Develop repeatable validation workflows for firmware updates, new features, and customer deployment scenariosÂ
- Analyze wireless link performance, networking behavior, throughput, interference, mobility, and routing under real-world conditionsÂ
- Build and maintain software utilities, scripts, and troubleshooting tools that help customers configure and integrate radiosÂ
- Recreate customer deployment conditions in lab environments to validate configurations and replicate issuesÂ
- Maintain and improve customer-facing technical documentation including technical library articles, datasheets, configuration guides, and user documentationÂ
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and firmware teams to provide structured product feedback based on customer field experienceÂ
- Deliver technical reports summarizing findings, deployment recommendations, risks, and known issuesÂ
- Become a trusted technical advisor for high-value customers and support teams during mission-critical deployments and evaluationsÂ
What Success Looks LikeÂ
- Become a go-to technical expert on Doodle Labs radio systems, networking behavior, and deployment architectures within the first 3 monthsÂ
- Successful customer platform integrations and field evaluations across unmanned systems deploymentsÂ
- Improved product reliability through repeatable validation frameworks and structured testing workflowsÂ
- High-quality technical documentation and deployment guidance that reduce customer integration frictionÂ
- Effective collaboration with engineering and firmware teams to improve usability, configurability, and deployment toolingÂ
- Measurable improvements in customer deployment success, troubleshooting efficiency, and field performance validationÂ
Who You AreÂ
