We are seeking a compassionate and dedicatedDomestic Violence Case Manager to join ourUmbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services (UCDVS) team. In this role, you will provide trauma-informed advocacy, case management, safety planning, and support services to survivors of domestic violence who have been identified as being at high risk for serious harm. Your work will empower individuals and families, help connect them to critical community resources, and support their path toward safety and stability.

Candidates must reside in Connecticut to be eligible for this position.

What You Will Do: 

As a Community Case Manager, you will build trusting relationships with survivors and help them access the services and resources they need to increase safety, strengthen independence, and improve quality of life.

  • Provide trauma-informed case management, crisis intervention, supportive counseling, advocacy, and ongoing outreach to survivors of domestic violence, including individuals identified through the Lethality Assessment Program (LAP) as being at high risk.
  • Partner with clients to create personalized safety and service plans using tools such as the Danger Assessment and VIGOR assessments.
  • Connect individuals and families with housing, healthcare, behavioral health, legal, employment, childcare, transportation, education, and other community resources.
  • Support parents and children through safety planning, parent education, and child development education.
  • Coordinate referrals, advocate with community partners, accompany law enforcement when appropriate, and assist with transportation for shelter access and case management services.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, and case management practices.
  • Understanding of community resources and ability to connect clients with support services.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Connecticut Domestic Violence Counselor Certification in accordance with state requirements.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, acceptable driving record, and ability to transport clients as needed.
  • Two years of advocacy, victim services, or direct service experience working with survivors of domestic violence in a community-based setting.

What We Offer

The anticipated salary range for this position is $24.00- $27.00 per hour. Actual compensation offered will be determined based on a variety of factors including relevant skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, and internal equity considerations.
