Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented law student to provide essential support to our criminal defense practice as a Law Clerk. This is a part-time independent contractor position with a flexible work schedule of 20-30 hours per week based on your availability. The Law Clerk will work onsite in our Ravenna office depending. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in criminal defense litigation under the mentorship of a seasoned attorney.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review discovery materials including police reports, witness statements, and video footage

• Prepare concise memos summarizing key facts and identifying important evidence

• Assist in drafting motions and other legal documents under attorney supervision

• Provide litigation support including exhibit preparation and research

• Observe attorney in court and client meetings to gain practical skills

• Perform legal research and analysis as needed

• Assist with office administrative tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of 1 year of study at an accredited law school

• Strong interest in pursuing a career as a criminal defense trial lawyer

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and highly

• organized

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new web-based tools and case management software

• Self-starter able to take initiative and learn quickly

• Desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

• Strong commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional ethics

Compensation:

• $20/hour minimum based on experience

• This is a 1099 independent contractor position and does not include benefits
