Document Scanning Operator
Bloomfield, CT 06002
12 months Contract
Mon- Fri (7AM - 3PM)

Overview
The temporary employees will be preparing documents for scanning (removing staples, clips, etc). and inserting barcodes. They may also be cross trained to scan and quality check the images using a commercial scanner and PC. Candidates must be able to lift boxes around 20-30lbs each, team members or managers can assist. Candidates with scanning or copy center experience are preferred, but not required. The site will provide training. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, and other bindings.
  • Insert barcodes and organize documents in the required sequence.
  • Scan documents using a Kodak scanner and computer.
  • Inspect scanned images for clarity, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Compile, assemble, and bind documents according to customer specifications.
  • Clear paper jams, refill toner, and report equipment issues.
  • Complete production paperwork accurately and meet daily productivity targets.
  • Maintain an organized workstation and communicate issues to management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer and typing skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to stand for approximately 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift 20–30 lbs regularly, with some duties requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while meeting quality and productivity standards.
  • Comfortable working in a production environment with moderate to high noise levels.
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
