Schedule/Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
This position is responsible for:
The Salvation Army Potomac Division is seeking a detail-oriented, service-focused Divisional Development Coordinator to support donor care, planned giving, resource development, and the day-to-day administration of the Development Department. This position helps ensure that donor inquiries, gifts, records, reports, stewardship activities, and departmental operations are handled accurately, promptly, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive donor service by answering questions, resolving issues, fulfilling requests, and maintaining accurate constituent records.
- Process, record, acknowledge, and track donations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Support recurring giving, mid-level donor, matching gift, workplace giving, tribute gift, donor recognition, and stewardship programs.
- Collect, capture, and distribute planned giving and resource development leads; assist with gift packages, donor communications, reports, and related records.
- Prepare and analyze donor, revenue, campaign, retention, and program reports using approved systems and reporting tools.
- Coordinate departmental calendars, meetings, mail, expense reports, supplies, files, SharePoint resources, and other administrative activities.
- Assist with fundraising campaigns, special events, donor outreach, training, and other development projects.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to type and record information and data into a computer.
- Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, computer, and adding machine.
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
- Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.

Qualifications
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, fundraising, business administration, marketing, communications or related field ANDtwo years' experience in fundraising, donor relations, donor base management, mid-level donor cultivation and stewardship;OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
