JOB MISSION:
Responsible for monitoring inventory accuracy, investigating inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive resolution and process improvements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory integrity across distribution centers.

Inventory Discrepancy Investigation & Resolution
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory and business transactions and resolve inventory-related issues.
- Lead investigations into inventory discrepancies, stock variances, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation issues across our Distribution Centers.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, recurring issues, and potential process failures.
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory transactions, shipment discrepancies, receiving issues, returns processing, and system-related inventory variances.
- Coordinate with warehouse operations to validate findings and resolve discrepancies.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to minimize future inventory inaccuracies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of inventory challenges.
- Act as a subject matter expert for inventory management processes and controls.
- Escalate systemic issues and recommend sustainable solutions to leadership.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Develop and maintain inventory performance reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Monitor inventory accuracy metrics, adjustment trends, cycle count performance, and exception reporting.
- Utilize data analytics tools to identify opportunities for process improvement and inventory optimization.
- Present findings, recommendations, and action plans to management and key stakeholders.
- Able to run ABC analysis.
Process Improvement
- Identify process gaps that contribute to inventory inaccuracies and operational inefficiencies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory controls, transaction accuracy, and operational excellence.
- Document standard operating procedures and support implementation of best practices.
- Support testing and validation of system enhancements impacting inventory management.
Inventory Governance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and internal policies.
- Support physical inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
- Assist in establishing inventory control standards and monitoring adherence across the network.
- Collaborate with Finance during month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
- 5+ years’ experience in inventory management, supply chain analytics, logistics operations, or distribution.
- Strong experience investigating inventory discrepancies and conducting root cause analysis.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled at translating complex inventory issues into actionable solutions.
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools required; experience with MS Power BI preferred.
- Experience working with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (D365/Manhattan).
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Finance or related field strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; detail oriented.Â
- Effectively manages multiple priorities to ensure departmental success.
- Continually works to improve and develop skills and knowledge.
- Able to stand/sit, and work on a computer, for long periods of time.
