Director Quotations 

Services Business Line 

We are looking for an experienced and commercially drivenDirector Quotations to lead and further develop the Normet Services quotation function. This is a key leadership role within the Services Business Line, with responsibility for strengthening our quotation capabilities, improving customer responsiveness, and supporting profitable growth of the Services business. 

The position offers an opportunity to shape how we manage complex services quotations globally and to develop processes, capabilities, and tools that enable our sales and portfolio teams to focus more effectively on customers and business development.

Purpose of the Role 

The Director Quotations is responsible for supporting sales areas with complex services quotations and developing the overall customer experience throughout the sales process—from receipt of the RFQ through to receipt of the purchase order. 

The role owns the Services quotation capability and drives continuous improvement in quotation processes, response times, quality, hit rate, and customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and continuously develop the Normet Services quotation process to improve response time, quotation quality, hit rate, productivity, and customer satisfaction. 

• Act as the key point of contact for complex services quotations, including high-volume or complex spare parts cases, repairs and rebuilds, special projects, complex/high-value service agreements, and third-party services. 

• Take business ownership of Services quotation process development and related improvements within Normet IT tools and systems, including CPQ development and implementation. 

• Ensure sufficient quotation capacity and capability to support the Services business. 

• Lead, develop, and support the quotation team to ensure consistent quality and effective prioritization of quotation activities. 

• Enable sales teams/PSSRs to maximize customer-facing time by providing effective quotation support and enabling appropriate outsourcing of quotation work. 

• Reduce operational and transactional workload for portfolio teams, allowing greater focus on portfolio and business development. 

• Establish effective ways of working between quotation, sales, portfolio, technical, and other relevant functions. 

• Drive standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the Services quotation function. 

Key Accountabilities 

The Director Quotations owns: 

• The Services sales process from RFQ to PO receipt from a quotation perspective. 

• Services quotation capacity and capability. 

• Development and performance of the Services quotation process. 

• Prioritization and management of complex quotation activities. 

• Continuous improvement of quotation tools, processes, and ways of working.

• Lead-to-opportunity conversion and sales process effectiveness. 

• Services orders received and quotation hit rate. 

• Quote / no-quote decision-making. 

• Services profitability. 

• Customer satisfaction throughout the RFQ-to-PO process. 

• Quotation response times and on-time delivery. 

• Sales team effectiveness and customer-facing capacity. 

What We Are Looking For 

The successful internal candidate should bring: 

• Strong experience within a Global Services Business, with a solid understanding of our customers, products, services, and commercial processes. 

• Demonstrated experience in quotation, sales, commercial, services, or related business processes. 

• Strong understanding of complex service offerings and commercial proposals. 

• Experience in implementing new processes, or cross-functional business initiatives. 

• Experience in leading a team and creating a culture of high performance.  

• Strong commercial judgment and ability to balance customer requirements, competitiveness, risk, and profitability. 

• Ability to develop and standardize processes across different teams and sales areas. 

• Experience with sales and quotation systems; experience with CPQ or similar digital quotation tools is an advantage. 

• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Services, Portfolio, IT, and other functions. 

• A proactive, customer-focused and continuous-improvement mindset. 

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
