Position Summary
The Director of Operations Consulting is responsible for creating and leading the consulting division within post-acute consulting and will report to the Vice President of Operations and Growth Consulting. The Director of Operations Consulting will manage a list of clients, serve as a subject matter expert for a variety of client projects, manage complex projects, and other duties to ensure superior client care.Key Responsibilities
- Manage division resources within allocated budget
- Prospect new client business opportunities
- Manage project plans that align with contracted scope, timeline, and budget
- Manage client and executive team relationships throughout the lifecycle of projects
- Act as a subject matter expert for post-acute and behavioral healthcare clients
- Build strategic relationships with clients, seeking opportunities to expand the scope of business.
- Conduct client interviews to gain an understanding of and evaluate aspects of client situations and operations.
- Effectively summarize, draw conclusions, and create recommendations from large data sets or analyses
- Lead various work streams within a project, including managing day-to-day engagement priorities with guidance from senior leaders
- Prepare client-ready deliverables and presentations, making presentations to clients
- Coach and mentor consultant team both formally and informally
- Provide training for clients and staff via in-person or remote environments.
- Support marketing initiatives by completing regulatory research, assisting with the proposal preparation process and creation of marketing materials
- Collaborate with senior leaders to create a team culture that encourages creativity and innovation, while driving total motivation for employees
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience building professional relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- 8+ years' experience in the post-acute industry including consulting, health system, technology vendor and/or payer experience.
- Clinical Licensure and a minimum of a bachelor's degree in clinical study
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and electronic platforms to include video conferencing, customer relationship management (CRM), and electronic health records (EHR)
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate with and present information to all levels of client personnel.
- Strong quantitative and analytic skills
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing working environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and an aggressive approach to excellence
- High energy individuals with a passion for healthcare and solving complex issues.
- Ability to use sound judgment and escalate project issues to project managers or engagement leaders.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in relevant industry, systems, or tools
- Experience supporting remote or distributed teams
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer, participating in virtual meetings, listening, and verbal communication. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
- Activities require a significant amount of sitting at office and work desks in front of a computer monitor.
- Ability to travel as needed for the position via airline or vehicle transportation.
- Regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, and give presentations as needed.
Compensation
Base Pay Range: $180,000 – $200,00 annually (or hourly equivalent). Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and business needs.Additional Compensation
This role may also be eligible for additional compensation, including but not limited to:
- Discretionary performance-based incentives or bonuses
