POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Innovation leads Pure Infusion's work at the junction of business operations and technology. Reporting to the EVP, Operations and Digital Innovation, the Director sets cross-department priorities for software, data, and AI initiatives and turns business needs into approved requirements. The Director leads business cases, process redesign, and vendor evaluation across intake, clinical operations, revenue cycle, pharma relations, and finance. The role builds and leads the Innovation team and partners with the CIO and Head of Data to connect technology and data platforms to business outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Prioritization and intake.Run the weekly triage of business requests and decide weekly cross-department priorities.

•   Requirements.Gather and document requirements with the departments that own them, and give requirement sign-off before work moves to build.

•   Roadmaps.Co-manage the internal application roadmap with engineering, and support the enterprise technology roadmap with the EVP and CIO.

•   Business cases and vendors.Lead business cases for software and AI investments, evaluate vendors and their claims, and recommend technology and vendor decisions with the EVP and CIO.

•   Process redesign.Map how cross-department work happens today, identify where software or AI would improve it, lead the redesign, and measure results.

•   Data partnership.Partner with the Head of Data on data priorities and definitions, and recommend data priorities.

•   Innovation Plan.Keep the Innovation Plan current and report progress to the EVP.

•   Workstream boundaries.Protect the separation between data warehouse work and application work, and push back on scope or timelines that do not make sense.

•   Risk awareness.Identify data, privacy, and AI risks in proposed initiatives and route them to the appropriate Compliance, Privacy, and IT owners.

•   Team leadership.Build, lead, and develop the Innovation team (see Supervisory Responsibilities).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director will build and lead a team of approximately five direct reports, hired over the coming months. The Director owns hiring for the team and is accountable for onboarding, performance management, coaching and development, workload allocation, and team results, consistent with Pure Infusion policy.

•   Demonstrated experience building roadmaps and business cases and evaluating software vendors.

•   Demonstrated process-improvement experience: mapping current-state work, identifying improvements, and measuring results.

•   Practical AI literacy: what models and agents can and cannot do, where data risk sits, and how to judge vendor claims.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•   Healthcare operations experience, ideally infusion, specialty pharmacy, or revenue cycle.

•   Familiarity with HIPAA, PHI handling, and AI governance.

•   Prior experience as a product manager or program manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
