SUPPORT GROUPS
- Provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for Cornerstone’s Support Group ministry.
- Recruit, equip, encourage, and support Support Group leaders and facilitators.
- Identify ministry needs and opportunities for new or expanded Support Groups.
- Develop healthy processes for connecting people with appropriate Support Groups.
- Provide ongoing care, resources, and encouragement for group leaders.
- Ensure Support Groups operate in alignment with Cornerstone’s mission, values, and ministry philosophy.
- Track participation and engagement to evaluate the reach, health, and effectiveness of the ministry.
- Develop and maintain One Church forms, workflows, process cues, automations, and other tools that improve Support Group ministry processes.
- Regularly evaluate Support Group processes and identify opportunities to improve or automate them.
- Learn alongside the current Small Groups Director to understand Cornerstone’s philosophy, structure, leaders, and processes and eventually assume responsibility, leadership and oversight.Â
- Build relationships with Small Group leaders and provide encouragement, resources, and support.
- Provide oversight, support, and resources for Open Group leaders, helping create accessible entry points into community and pathways toward Small Groups when appropriate.
- Develop healthy systems for connecting people with appropriate Small Groups and Open Groups.
- Monitor participation, leader engagement, group health, and opportunities for growth across Small Groups and Open Groups.
- Develop and maintain One Church forms, workflows, process cues, automations, and other tools that support effective group ministry.
- Evaluate and improve group systems, processes, and leader support.
- As Cornerstone’s community-group strategy develops, this role may eventually serve as the primary staff liaison for laity-led Community Groups and other affinity-based groups.
- Develop proficiency in One Church by learning alongside current One Church administrator.
- Help maintain accurate, consistent, and reliable ministry data across Cornerstone.
- Develop and maintain data practices that support accurate reporting and meaningful analysis, and recommend tools for how to utilize data.Â
- Generate and analyze ministry reports to help leaders across Cornerstone understand participation, engagement, ministry health, and opportunities for growth.Â
- Identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern through ministry data and communicate relevant insights to ministry leaders.
- Help ministry leaders understand and effectively use data to evaluate ministry health, engagement, and opportunities for growth.
- Document key data practices and reporting processes to support consistency and continuity as Cornerstone’s systems and staff evolve.
- Maintain accurate group, leader, participation, and ministry records in One Church.
- Communicate effectively with group leaders, volunteers, staff, pastors, and individuals seeking connection.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to strengthen church-wide pathways for connection and group participation.
- Participate in staff, leadership, and department meetings.
- Recruit and develop volunteer ministry leaders and provide training as needed.
- Prepare regular leadership updates regarding ministry activity, needs, opportunities, and upcoming initiatives.
- Maintain alignment with Cornerstone’s organizational goals, mission, vision, and values.
- Collaborate in managing the Groups ministry budget and related reporting.
- Coordinate curriculum, materials, resources, and supplies needed for groups and leader development.
- Support group-related events, trainings, leader gatherings, and other ministry initiatives.
- Pursue ongoing training and development in ministry leadership, group ministry, data analysis, and One Church proficiency.
- Spiritually grounded with a heart for people, community, discipleship, and helping others take their next step with Jesus.
- Strong relational skills with the ability to build trust and encourage a diverse group of leaders and volunteers.
- Able to recruit, equip, develop, and support volunteer ministry leaders.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and systems.
- Analytical and process-minded, with ability to recognize opportunities to improve ministry processes.
- Comfortable learning technology and becoming highly proficient in One Church and related digital systems.
- Able to communicate clearly and patiently when training or troubleshooting with staff and volunteers.
- Uses discretion and sound judgment when handling personal, participation, and ministry information.
- Familiarity with Cornerstone’s ministry philosophy, resources, and systems preferred.
- Self-motivated, diligent, proactive, and attentive to opportunities for improvement.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred in ministry, administration, communications, technology, data analysis, or a related field.
 *This role will begin as a part-time position of up to 30 hours per week, with the potential to transition to full-time in early 2027.Â
