Job Description:

DB Global Technologyis Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

AsChapter Lead DevOps for Data & Analytics, you will be thetechnical and people leader for DevOps practices across theData & Analytics domain within CIO Private Bank, Bucharest.
You will shape and scalecloud‑native, compliant, and automated software delivery for data platforms, analytics services, and reporting solutions, operating acrossGCP, hybrid cloud, and on‑prem environments.

The role combinesdeep technical leadership,chapter capability building, andstrong governance mindset, ensuring that DevOps practices enablefast, reliable delivery while meetingregulatory, security, and data governance requirements of Deutsche Bank.

Responsibilities:

Technical & Domain Leadership

  • Define and evolve theDevOps vision, standards, and reference architectures for the Data & Analytics domain.
  • Driveend‑to‑end CI/CD automation for data platforms, analytics applications, and reporting services acrosscloud and hybrid environments.
  • Establishbest practices for build, test, release, and deployment.
  • Ensure DevOps solutions supportdata lineage, traceability, auditability, and SDLC compliance.

Chapter Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and grow theDevOps Chapter within Data & Analytics: engineers, platform specialists, and DevOps advocates embedded in delivery teams.
  • Definechapter standards, learning paths, and onboarding material for DevOps engineers in the data domain.
  • Act ascoach and mentor, raising engineering maturity and fostering a strong DevOps culture.
  • Supportcareer progression, talent development, and succession planning within the chapter.

Platform Enablement & Automation

  • Partner with platform and product teams to deliverself‑service DevOps capabilities, including: Standardized CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure‑as‑Code patterns, Environment provisioning and lifecycle automation.
  • Drive adoption ofcloud‑native DevOps tooling aligned with Group and PB strategies.
  • Enablescalable and resilient delivery for high‑volume data processing and analytics workloads.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure DevOps processes comply with: SDLC controls, Release and deployment governance, Security and vulnerability management, Data governance and regulatory expectations
  • Provideclear evidence, metrics, and traceability for audits and control reviews.
  • Act as a key interface betweenengineering, architecture, risk, and control functions.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with:
    • Data Platform & Analytics Leads
    • Architecture & Engineering Governance
    • Security, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders
  • Communicate DevOps strategy, progress, and risks clearly tosenior leadership.

Skills:

Technical Expertise

  • A Bachelor of Science or Master degree with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Strong hands‑on experience inDevOps engineering, ideally indata‑intensive or analytics environments.
  • Deep technical skills in at least one core language environment (e.g. Java, Javascript (NodeJS/TypeScript), Python, Shell scripting, etc).
  • Proven experience with: CI/CD pipelines and automation, Cloud platforms (preferablyGCP) and hybrid architectures, Infrastructure‑as‑Code and environment automation
  • Experience in automation tools and platforms such as BitBucket, TeamCity/Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub Actions, GitLab.
  • Experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes, Docker, Dockerfiles, Helm, GCP/Azure/AWS).
  • Experience with application development and multi-platform architectures.
  • Strong experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies.

Leadership & Ways of Working

  • Experience leadingchapters, communities of practice, or cross‑team engineering groups.
  • Ability to balanceenablement and governance in a regulated environment.
  • Strong coaching mindset with a track record ofgrowing senior engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engagetechnical and non‑technical stakeholders.
