WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The Recording Academy’s mission is to recognize musical excellence, advocate for the well-being of music makers and ensure music remains an indelible part of our culture. The Academy is a professional membership organization of musicians, producers, engineers, and recording professionals. Our Membership & Industry Relations team delivers services across a national network of 12 Chapters who each serve local music communities.

We're looking for a highly motivated, idea-generating professional to serve as the central execution and delivery lead for member-facing digital campaigns, content, and touchpoints, both nationally and across our chapter markets. Reporting to the Director, Member Experience, the Digital Member Experience Manager operationalizes the broader Member Experience strategy across content, campaigns, and digital touchpoints throughout the member ecosystem, and plays a key part in marketing high-impact programs and member-wide initiatives. You will work closely with Lifecycle Marketing (which owns audience segmentation and marketing automation strategy) and coordinate cross-functionally with Digital Experience, IT, Creative Services, and Chapter teams to ensure cohesive execution of member-facing campaigns and communications.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Execute and support membership engagement initiatives across national and chapter-specific programming, awards, advocacy, education, partnerships, and marketing campaigns, including content development, email communications, and updates to GRAMMY.com and other digital platforms.
  • Develop and execute copy for member-facing campaigns, translating awards process information, program goals, and promotional priorities into clear, engaging content across email, web, app, and event platforms, aligned with brand voice and communications standards.
  • Partner with Chapter teams and internal stakeholders to gather inputs, including event materials submitted via ticket (text, images, info), and shape messaging for member programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Manage and update public-facing membership pages and member-related content in the GRAMMY app and member portal, including chapter programming, awards, promotional messaging, and key communications.
  • Manage the department's use of event and digital platforms (e.g., Blackthorn registration, web CMS, and related tools), reviewing chapter event builds through a marketing and brand lens to confirm messaging alignment and ensure timely, accurate publication (technical build and system integrations remain owned by IT).
  • Partner with the Member Experience data lead to ensure chapter events are integrated and surfaced on the Member Portal, including input on which events are highlighted.
  • Develop and maintain standardized, reusable event templates chapters can adapt for their own builds, and help establish turnaround-time expectations for chapter event requests, including guidance for high-volume periods.
  • Coordinate execution across email, web, app, and event platforms, serving as a quality control checkpoint to ensure accuracy, clarity, and a cohesive member experience.
  • Support rollout and ongoing management of member community platforms (e.g., Slack), including hands-on moderation during beta phases and establishing engagement standards and best practices for long-term growth.
  • Support post-event evaluation, including reporting, stakeholder summaries, and data analysis, and ensure post-event communications are executed across appropriate channels.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge base of the Grammy awards calendar, criteria, and processes to ensure effective and clear communication around the Recording Academy’s marquee event.
  • Develop and maintain clear systems for member communication that have the ability to scale to meet the Academy’s global membership goals.
  • Ensure all execution aligns with established Member Experience standards, direction, and priorities.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of digital marketing, event production/management, and customer service experience, preferrably in entertainment or media.
  • Previous experience and connections in music business, music production or music education preferred.
  • Knowledge of event and marketing platforms such as Blackthorn, Swoogo or similar tools (reviewing builds for brand and messaging alignment, not configuring technical integrations), and familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or comparable CRM platforms.
  • Strong copywriting and content development skills with the ability to translate defined priorities into clear, engaging member-facing messaging.
  • Strong understanding of brand voice, messaging consistency, and content standards with the ability to apply them across channels.
  • Experience managing website content using content management systems (CMS), such as WordPress or similar platforms.
  • Experience executing campaigns across multiple digital channels, including email, web, app, and event platforms.
  • Familiarity with community platforms such as Slack, Discord, or similar tools preferred including basic moderation and community engagement best practices preferred.
  • Comfort working across multiple digital platforms and tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly and support evolving workflows.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, creative, digital, and program teams to deliver coordinated campaigns and initiatives.
  • Basic understanding of campaign performance metrics, with the ability to interpret insights and apply learnings to improve execution.
  • Proficiency in digital tools including Zoom, Canva, Adobe, and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proactive and highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines with strong organizational and decision-making skills.
