Founded in 2007, Flaschenpost has always been one of the leading eCommerce players in Switzerland. Their goal is to make wine buying as simple, fast, and convenient as possible. Because of that, they are shifting from a typical eCommerce retailer into the world of a tech company.

Together with our partner, we are expanding the team and looking for a:

DevOps Engineer

to join a growing engineering organization and help build, operate, and continuously improve a modern, cloud-native platform on AWS.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on AWS

  • Develop, operate, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast and reliable software delivery

  • Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK)

  • Support containerized workloads using Docker and orchestration platforms such as EKS, ECS, or Kubernetes

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system reliability and fast incident response

  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA, and product teams in an agile environment

  • Ensure best practices around security, backups, disaster recovery, and high availability

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across environments and maintain our servers

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • Hands-on experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role, preferably with AWS

  • Strong knowledge of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code

  • Solid Linux/Unix administration skills

  • Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar languages

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

  • Good written and verbal English communication skills

  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies

Nice to have:

  • AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect)

  • Experience with serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions)

  • Knowledge of AWS cost optimization strategies

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR or SOC2

  • Experience with automated testing and quality gates in CI/CD pipelines
