Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experiencedDevOps Engineer with strong expertise inAzure DevOps (ADO) and deephands-on Kubernetes experience. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and managing production-grade Kubernetes environments for LAUSD initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintainAzure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
• Deploy, scale, and manageproduction Kubernetes clusters (AKS preferred).
• Build and maintain Kubernetes objects includingDeployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, and RBAC.
• Implementscaling strategies (HPA/VPA), rolling updates, and blue-green deployments for zero-downtime releases.
• Create, customize, and maintainHelm charts for consistent, automated application deployments.
• Integrate Kubernetes deployments with CI/CD workflows usingADO, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Troubleshoot cluster issues includingpod failures, networking, scaling, logging, and performance.
• Configure and manage observability usingPrometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Azure Monitor, and logging tools.
• Enforce security best practices:network policies, pod security, image scanning, secrets management, and access control.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep preferred).
• Manage Docker container lifecycle, optimize images, and maintain container registries.
• Lead migration of legacy workloads to Kubernetes by containerizing applications and creating manifests.
• Implement GitOps workflows usingArgoCD / Flux for declarative configuration management.
• Perform regularbackup, disaster recovery, upgrades, and patching of Kubernetes clusters.
• Collaborate closely with development, cloud, and security teams to streamline DevOps processes.
• Ensure all solutions meet LAUSD operational, security, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud operations, and automation.
• Strong hands-on expertise withAzure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Releases).
• Extensive production experience withKubernetes (AKS highly preferred).
• Proficiency with Docker, Linux, Bash/PowerShell, and at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
• Deep understanding of CI/CD, IaC, cloud-native patterns, and container orchestration.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and automation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LAUSD or public sector environments.
• Azure certifications (AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-305).
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS).
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ArgoCD, Flux.
