About the role
Globalpundits is hiring a DevOps Engineer for a multi-year technology program with a client in the regulated energy sector. You'll independently build and maintain the CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation and deployment processes that support software development and IT operations.
What you'll do
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with limited supervision
- Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code for cloud and on-premises environments
- Automate deployment processes, environment provisioning and configuration management
- Build monitoring, logging and alerting for pipelines and environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve moderately to highly complex build, deployment and infrastructure issues
- Lead specific automation tasks or workstreams and guide junior engineers
What we're looking for
- 4–8 years of experience in DevOps, build/release or infrastructure engineering
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (for example Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (for example Terraform, Bicep, ARM or Ansible) and deployment automation
- Strong scripting skills (for example PowerShell, Bash or Python)
- Experience with containerization (for example Docker or Kubernetes) is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms (for example Azure or AWS) is a plus
